Here is the cover for Across Thin Ice , Book One of the Nordguard graphic novel trilogy.I can't believe I'm typing this, but...As of posting this, there's only 7 signed copies of the hardcover edition still available for pre-order! :]

Pre-orders will ship July 1st, or you can pick it up at AnthroCon. There will also be 200 or so hardcover copies, which are not part of the pre-orders, that will be available at Anthrocon, and ComicCon, while supplies last. Those will be sold first come, first serve, so if you miss out on the hardcover pre-orders and are attending AC, you still stand a good chance of getting one! (There will be plenty of softcover copies, this is just if you're interested in getting one of the first-edition hardcovers.)
And, last reminder, the softcover copies for $19.95 will first debut at AnthroCon, and go for sale online July 1st 2011, from Sofawolf Press's site, here!

Ugh.... I've taken a gander through some of the concept work for this and I just cannot believe the degree of detail, and realism. It just so believable, from the world itself, to the characters. This really gives anthro art the credibility it so rightfully deserves. ANYONE could pick up this comic and enjoy it. Not just anthro fans. Really something special, here.

Fantastic painting, everything seems to work together cohesively. The use of light activates the foreground and really pulls you in. It also focuses on the foremost character with a sort of portrait effect, very nice and almost messianic.
I like to look for anything that may be improved and it was not an easy task, but I may have found something. The mountain face behind the foremost character's head seems a little tricky to see spatially. Understandably snow has that disorienting effect but it would be neat to really see that effect either tamed or taken advantage of. It's a spectacular piece and I think the area was still handled well.

Wow Blotch, this is absolutely gorgeous! Your style has always captivated me, but this piece is really wonderful. The characters have so much life, and the background is lovely.

If you wanted to get your hands on a hardcover, the best way now would be to pick one up at AnthroCon at the end of June. If Sofawolf Press doesnt't sell out of the remaining hardcovers at AnthroCon, they'll take the rest with them to ComicCon.
