no, the first book is "game of thrones" (im reading it right now) and the next two are a "clash of kings" and "storm of swords". so both the tv show and the book have the same name. but i completely forgot that there was a show... i don't have HBO

'Song of ice and fire' is the name of the series which "Game of Thrones" and the other books belongs to. Just like "Fellowship of the Rings," "The Two Towers" and "Return of the King" are known collectively as 'Lord of the Rings.'
