This is gorgeous in so many ways and for so many reasons. I love the burning light of the...dawn? (the title is prelude so I was guessing dawn rather than sunset) I love the subject matter as well - both the post-apocalyptic bit and the actual human subject. They're beautifully executed and little things like the cat rubbing up against him, the armband, the tattoo - all give it so much...feeling and realism. I think I need to go revisit fallout for a minute.......

This picture almost literally speaks to me, it tells me they've seen hard times, and lived through them. So they don't really care what happens to them. As such, both him and the cat are willing to risk there lives on the edge of a rooftop just to get a view of the world. (Remember, art is interpretive based on the viewer, so nobody comment angrily and say something like "NO YOUR WRONG BECAUSE IT OBVIOUSLY MEANS----" kthnx)

Living in a post-apocalyptic world with sophisticated hair reminds me of female astronauts, clad only in hermetically sealed helmets and bathing suits.
By occupation, I had the opportunity to see people who are within two weeks were deprived of the benefits of civilization. Believe me, first of all they cared about the weapon, and on the radio about the food. If I spoke to them about the need to make elaborate hairstyles, they would consider me an idiot.
