This is one of the paintings that I was gonna turn in to my class as a concentration piece but I changed the subject before I actually attended class. This is one of the pieces practicing oil paint, which I don't paint with often. Actually. I started it using black nail polish because I was curious about how it would look on canvas and it ended up really glossy and nice. It's the black, charcoal-looking texture in the background behind the rose.
I actually really like this piece.
