ASR 30 stands for Automatic Sniper Rifle .30 Caliber [ .308 Winchester / 7.62x51 mm NATO ].
It is an Automatic / Gas Action, Rotating Locking Bolt, Semi-Automatic, Magazine Fed [ 10 Rounds Magazine ] Sniper Rifle.
It uses a Gas Piston positioned under the Barrel, with Twin Return Springs positioned on both sides of the Bolt Carrier. Synthetic Polymers are widely used in its construction.

Action:
The Gas Piston under the Preasure of the Gases moves the Bolt Carrier back, the Bolt Carrier moving back Rotates the Bolt, at this moment the Bolt Unlocks and is pulled back by the Bolt Carrier, thus Reloading the Rifle.

The Barrel:
The Barrel is Detachable, Cold-Hammer Forged, Hexagonal - Polygonal, Free floating, Fluted, 700 mm long, Heavy Barrel.

The Bolt:
The Bolt is Rotating Locked via 6 lugs.

The Gas System:
Uses a Gas Piston positioned under the Barrel. The Gas System has a regulator to adjust to Weather Conditions. Aditionaly the Gas System can be locked and the Bolt can be moved Manualy via Bolt Handle. That allowes the use of Exotic Ammo and in Extreme conditions.

The Cooling System:
Unique feature of the ASR 30 is its Cooling and Heat distrubution System. It uses a Barrel "Bubble" Ventilated Cover. This System has a "Cold" Chamber with Cold Air InLet Openings, and "Hot" Chamber with Heat Exhaust Openings. Aditional "Radiator" Elements are used for better heat radiation. Optionaly an Cooling Compessor can be mounted. The Compressor is Powered with aditional Power Source of Modular design which can use from 1 to 16 batteries.
The Cooling System allowes for better Accuracy and Barrel Life, and also for lower Infra-Red / Heat "Image" of the Sniper Position.
There is also an uper "Roof" Barrel Cover. Its function is to prevent Hot Gases to distort the Line of Sight above the Barrel and in front of the Scope.

The Scope:
The Scope is 1.5 - 10x Variable with Iluminated Reticle. It is Mounted on an Detachable NATO STANAG Compliant Scope Mount Rail. There are also Adjustable Iron Sights which are detachable.
All kinds of Scopes an Sigths can be used on the Rifle.

The Anti Recoil System:
To reduce the Recoil are used Springs on the Barrel, on the Gas Tube, on the Bipod and on the Buttstock.There is also a combined Muzzle Brake / Flash Hider.

The Rifle has Detachable Bipod and Third, Rear Leg. The Bipod is Mounted on Rails, and can be Mounted above or under the Barrel, also Adjusted and moved Forward and Back. The Stock is Adjustable, with length adjustable Butt and Adjustable CheekPad. There are 2 Rail Mounts for aditional accesories - one above and one under the Barrel.

The Trigger has Adjustable weigth and length of pull. The Rifle has Cocker / Decocker and Safety.
