Tools: Paint Tool SAIHours: a lot.
This was a commission I started during winter of last year.. As I got towards completing the lineart for this I got really sick and couldn't find the time to finish this till recently.
My client wanted some sort of a "medium" armored lancer (preferred with no shield, reckless. lol) and such. Other than that, he just wanted me to go crazy and go with what I want in this. There are a few errors in perspective/paint/etc. which I really wanted to push forward and correct but I found myself spending a lot of time on this. I want to use that motivation towards creating a new work lol. I think I kinda overdosed on the background and painted a lot.. but I did my best to hold back some so it wouldn't take too much attention away from the lineart. I will upload the lineart version of this later after things are settled. I wish I could take this work further but I feel this is how much I can go for this one. Enjoy!

Just wanted to mention one thing. Β You said they wanted a "medium" armored lancer. Β I might just be nit picking but he looks heavily armored to me, and the no shield well often a spear takes both hands so a shield would be in the way. Β All of that aside I do like the picture.

Thanks for taking your time to give me some criticism. Yeah, I suppose there is a little too much armor. I tried to aim for a lancer similar to lancer from the fate stay night series but try to add a little armor. Thanks again!
