Oh man! I totally had this same idea at one point too, but instead of a chain to connect them I thought it would be more Star Warsian to have a power coupling like what holds the two engines of a podracer together.

ok i think its a cool weapon... but it is a sucide weapon... well for novices... we seen kung fu comedy where a guy wacks himself in the nuts with them... now imagin that with these... it will hack him in half... or it will hack off a good pound of flesh... and its something he is going to miss.....

Yeah, this concept is on the list of saber styles I found on the web. Accept, the model i read about had power going from one saber, to the other, through a cabel, and it had no chain. But cool work, none-the-less!
