Description This new shadow baby is called Triatomine, a carnivorous offspring of the Sentinels, or 'Sentry' for short (the stone creature adopts I put up a while ago) Some of the Sentry's offsprings would acquire a disease making life significantly harder for them, so scientists in this universe decided that it wouldn't be too costly to the land if they experimented on the defects. Some of the experiments included trying to test the theory of mithridatism, using poisons like diluted Polonium-210, mixed with some other substances to produce the horrific outcome- these beasts.

Over years of evolution and adapting to the conditions of the 'labs', parts of the creature's body would simply be bone, as though only parts of it were its 'exoskeleton', so to speak. The bone fused to the tissues around it, which would primarily occur over places like their head or chest. Eventually their diets changed to, and they became carnivorous, and the labs had to ditch the experimentations due to the rise in danger the workers experienced while trying to handle the creatures. As a result, they were released back into the wild, where they learned to live in the dark (eventually they grey a second set of eyes) and use the bones of their prey as extra amour alongside their natural bone defection. Not only this, but they have odd growths running along their flank and hind-quarters that resemble eyes. As for their general pelt colours, they have dark, silky fur with a typical neon 'mane' and eyes. Usually the neons range in blues to greens.

They live and hunt in packs, and are raised alongside each other, each creature highly protective of their fellow pack members. As for their names, when people are either stupid or brave enough to try and take one from the pack and raise it as their steed and companion, popular choices reside in naming them after poisons or dangerous beetles.

This baby is not an adopt nor is it an open species, but I do plan on selling some if anyone seems to be interested. Also looking for any name ideas for this species, but I was thinking of something like Vidette? Idk nothing solid yet. Also, I tried out a new style :>
