Beautiful: Wonderful use of texture in the leaves, bark on the tree and the water. I also love the little couple in the boat, they look very sweet. ^_^ Gorgeous colour by the way!

This is just gorgeous. The colors and the impressionistic feel really pull me in. I almost wish I was there on the boat

Nice piece and the subject is a nice contrast between macro/micro scale. I love the uncluttered feel of the sweeping trees and their blurred reflections, and the resulting piquant interest of the little boat with its occupants and sliver of white wake.

Ahhh, I love the mixture of reds and greens in the leaves.
What kind of paper do you use? I am interested in trying some colored paper with my colored pencils...

thanks
I used normal black paper.. nothing special.. ^^ honestly. But it's a little more thick, but I think it's that way because its really big paper. I think maybe it's something like "placard-paper".. not sure :-S

Looks great - I really love the reflections you did, they feel highly realistic. I think that at times the white highlights on the leaves come across as slightly too strong and that a brighter yellow would have been better but that is my only critique.

hmm yes you're actually right. I wanted to "bring out" the sunshine on the leaves with that white there, but I should've done it more with yellow. But somehow the yellow colos didn't want to stick on the paper after I've put the background - maybe too dark. I think I should proceed next time in a different way than I did this time. Thanks for critique!

I figured that the yellow would do that actually. White always seems so potent and opaque and yellow can often end up too translucent.

this is just so... you know you are a very talented person. I can tell by the way my chin hurts. Every time I see something made by you, my jaw drops to the table. How do you capture the things, the moods and the entire situation so well? If I would have to pick a photo, or a drawing by you - I would take you rather than any maschine.

oh, wow....
it's so beautiful. I think it looks good with the frame so you don't need to change it.
