Description
Well, this is my ResinSoul Li with a new face up and different clothes. Just lettin' everyone know. This face up will be gone in a little bit I'm sure. It's cute, but too cute to be a LeAnn. hahaRelated content

I love the style of you girl, and i think Li is very cute. I keep telling myself not to buy her because i have four dolls already 3 of which are RS; i have a Mei, An and Iruhi myself. The lighting is fantastic, which is something i personally find really hard to get right.
I do have some critique for you though.
Experimenting with different angles is great because it means that you can get some interesting shots and it makes things less boring. But with diagonal angels i recommend using this rule of 3rd grid line. Most camera have an option to bring it up, even point and clicks.
This is the grid-line -> [link] you can do other interesting things with it. But when you tilt the camera so the doll is going along one of these grid lines it can look much better. If you also have a key feature of the doll you want people to look at if you have that point where the angles meet, it is called a focus point and it is where people look at first on a picture.
My trick is if i see a picture i really like. I close my eyes then try and take a mental point of what draws my eye first. I hope this is useful. I have even seen recently where people have used angels that are crazy but the main focus point has been on the face so you focus on that more then on the angle so it still works. On yours this is only a little off, so it does look as bad as a lot of i have seen with the diagonal angels.
The background is also a little distracting. Because you want the picture to focus on your doll for indoor shots it is best to keep the BG fairly simple. Sometimes you can experiment by adding different things like in scale props and patters or interesting paper. I use cloth to keep it simple, often plain black. But i notised the colour of your walls is quite nice. If you used the plain wall that would also work quite well.

Awe thank you so much!
Yess I LOvE critiques! Thank you for taking the time! =3 I usually try to use the grid, (I didn't in this one obviously haha) But finding an angle on her is soo hard for me, since her nose is an odd shape from most of them hahaha.
I really like the 'mental point' idea, I'm totally gonna try that out Thank you thanks!!~
And my BG... yeah I use it a lot, but for some reason I LOVE IT xD hahah I'll attempt to change it up!~
Again, Thank you so much!

No problem, and i am happy you like critique i was a little worried (because i went critique crazy) i would get some drama; on the other hand though i love it when i get it back. And it is cool you try and use it, when you look at the effects you can get it can get pretty amazing.
I know what you mean with odd features, my An if i am not careful can have that "deer in head lights" looks at some angles. But that is just getting to know what angles work best for your doll. And thanks i try and do that, especially when i first learned about focus points.
I am happy my critique was useful.

It was! And like I said, thank you for taking the time! ^_____^ Makes me happy. The only way to get better is have constructive criticism, and you usually get that from a critique! =3 Lookin' at my photos, I've been lazy and not using the grid so this was a wonderful reminder. =3 I was just trying to 'change it up a bit' but I went a bit too far hahaah ^___^

That is fair enough and you are more then welcome. I guess i wish people would give me critique because i feel like i am new at photography. But i guess you can't just sit and moan you need to get out there and do what you want people to do with you.

If you're worried about over using your washing machine, you can always get different blankets or fabric and such with nice patterns on them and drape it over your machine when you take pics xD
Lee is gorgeous Even if you say she's too cute at the moment ^^ Lovely lovely girl
I love her skirt, also <3

Yeah, I just haven't had them both 'fixed up' enough to do an actual shoot, so when I've half-ass something I end up throwing them on the machine and snappin' a quick photo. Once I do a real shoot I'll take ur advise tho :-3
And Thank you, I really do like the blush on her nose / cheeks - don't think its too noticeable here. I'll deff keep that idea, but I'm not too fond of the eyes.

I do, I can't help it! It just makes such a unique background in my opinion! haha - maybe I'll change it up, it is getting over used. Thank you!
