So, apparently I'm subconsciously getting inspiration from Twilight and The Hunger Games... LOL If anyone remembers my last upload [link] I'm pretty sure we can agree that it had a 'Twilight' feel to it... and if I do say so myself... she reminds me of "foxface" from The Hunger Games here! (Both completely unintentional) foxface - [link]Took Natalie outside to day for some play time - ended up with this... it's funny how you spend a good 20-30 minutes getting a BJD put together... then once you return and find your final shots... you realize half the outfit isn't even seen.. le sigh. Oh well. For my enjoyment I suppose?

i live in calgary and i am an immigrant.. i want to know if there is anybody here from canada who can tell me where they sell these ball-joined dolls and their suplies like makeup and eyeballs and hair?

There are many people that live all over the world that have access to this hobby, the only downside is sometimes the shipping is dreadful. Companies do offer the face makeup (Faceups) for an extra fee, or you can get them blank and send them off to a faceup artists. As for where to get them, I suppose I'll offer two places, both based in the US, I feel the shipping might be better than Korea or China...

I've had 5 total, currently have 3, two I have ordered blank (No makeup) and have done them myself / waiting for another person to paint them. As for clothes, eyes, wigs, etc... that is all my doing.

I will say, when you are messing with resin You'll want to be sure not to mess it up. That means using MSC (Mr Super Clear) You can find it on Amazon. (I'd recommend the UV Cut, so you reduce the yellowing process as much as possible) and also make sure you do NOT use anything containing oil. I use Chalk Pastels and Prisma color pencils have been found to be ok. Also Acrylic paint.
To remove a faceup / MSC layers and clean your BJD You'll want something withOUT any acetone. People use nail polish remover but I find that a bit scary. I use Winsor and Newton Brush Cleaner and Restorer. It works awesome.
