The Story

Aquarius 6

As soon as the wave receded the heroes sprang into action. Initially their efforts focused on search and rescue. Thankfully the number of people who were washed back out as the waters ran back out to see were very low. Plucked from the turbulent waters, the victims were shuttled to waiting emergency shelters. As the last survivors were rescued, their efforts turned towards the mountains of debris in the disaster zone. The damage had been concentrated in the water front district and areas immediately adjacent to it. The heroines set about removing the piles of rubble that were choking key access routes. These obstructions were hindering rescue workers from getting into the hardest hit areas. As Diamond coordinated their efforts with Federal, State, and Local authorities the team attacked key choke points and bottlenecks.

Lin: “This freighter is too damaged to put back into the water. We’ll put it in the pile with the others.”

Walkiria: “Sounds good, Lin. I think that container ship will still float. Let’s move it next.”

FireBrandi: “Hey Mindy, if you will bend that overpass support back into place for me, I’ll weld it down. We can reopen the thruway after that.”

Mindy Marvel: “Sure thing, Brandi. Let me move these power poles and I’ll be right with you.”

Mako: “Diamond, I swept the harbor again, it’s still clean, no more victims.”

Diamond: “Acknowledged. I am sending a progress report to area command centers now. After that, let’s start moving those cars next.”
