S.N.A.P.P.E. (Self-Navigating Autonomous Protocol Personal Escort) is an animatronic built by Maxim Technologies, inspired by a failed Freddy Fazbear-themed amusement park idea that never got past planning. The original robot would serve as a mascot and tour guide for the area, as a sort of Circus Fredbear.

Now, these robots are fully revamped from the ground up, using cutting edge technological advances to make it look as realistic as possible without invoking the uncanny valley. Built in a neutral, politically-correct, zoomorphic form, its design draws from Maxim's previous Helpy product. This prototype is basically what if Helpy became Fredbear themed and grew up fresh out of adolescence, losing most of his baby fat to puberty. As opposed to the simplistic, segmented appearance of its younger brother model, SNAPPEs are equipped with a fully encapsulated, high mobility endoskeleton to mimic the fluidity and dexterity of human movement. This is covered by a silicone-based self-sealing skin layer topped with custom fur that completely covers and hides the mechanical components, conveniently leaving them out of view to audiences.

Their original purpose is definitely taken into consideration, but its primary market is institutions, libraries, and museums, where they serve as docents with an encyclopedic knowledge of the collections they supervise.

This prototype wears a black button-down, green tie done in an Ediety knot, purple vest with gold trim and filigree work leading to a clock face at the center, gray wool penguin-tail tuxedo complete with shiny Tyrian purple silk cape/cloak attached underneath the lapels. His cane is a double-helix twist made of ebony/cocobolo wood topped with a luxurious black pearl the size of a billiard ball. And the Fredbear hat of course.

As if he wasn't already something else, this prototype contains two powerful artifacts from mysterious sources, and seeks out more to perfect itself. For what purpose he is trying to collect these items, no one truly knows.
