The Howler:

A boy named Spencer Turner is having the worst day possible. His favorite cousin, Ian, has just died in an ice skating accident, and he feels like it was his fault. Poor Spencer has spent months and months mourning him. That's the reason why he became so fascinated with the paranormal. Ever since Ian passed away, Spencer has desperately tried to communicate with his ghost in order to seek closure with his trauma. So one day, he buys a machine called the Howler from a sketchy store. Spencer's friend, Vanessa, thinks the Howler is just a defective toy, like the rest of Spencer's previous ghost contraptions. That is... until Spencer turns the Howler on. And hears the howls and wails of ghosts coming from... THE NIGHTMARE ROOM.
