This is such a gorgeous photograph. I love how easy the delicacy between the human and the moth is so explicit in the perfect composition... It's known by both that the hand can smash the moth and end it's life within seconds. Yet, it does not. Instead it lingers nearby, nurturing and recognizing its elegance and fragility. So lovely. Well done.

It's definitely beautiful, but just to let you know, it is a moth, not a butterfly. Lovely creature though!

Suprisingly, no, but they do look very similar. That is one of the biggest moths I've ever seen. The easiest way to tell the difference is the body, moths and butterflies have different looking bodies, but both have beautiful wings.
