Description
Mathieu Bonhart is a serial killer in Gristal, who disappeared from the public eye after the discovery of his murders. It is speculated that he has killed at least twelve people but only five have been found. Two in his home, one at an abandoned home, and two in a dark alleyway.

Not much is known of Mathieu’s past besides having two jobs being a blacksmith and becoming a soldier. He is never seen talking to people and never stated of having friends, commonly described as a loner. According to neighbors and coworkers, he has a collection of metal drums and sticks but it is unknown why he has such a collection even for a soldier. Mathieu was later conscripted to war and was never seen again.

A neighbor smelled an extreme stench coming from Bonhart’s house. She thought it was nothing until the next day it became worse and she went to investigate with Bonhart’s maid. They followed the stench and discovered two dead women in one of the rooms. After contacting the authorities, they notice some of the metal drums and sense a wretched odor from it. They found gruesome content within the drums and noticed two metal sticks near them, this led them to believe that Bonhart used them to beat his two victims. They try to investigate the situation while looking for Bonhart but oddly could not find any sight of him in the war. Besides that, they found more bodies that are connected to him. In an abandoned house was a dead woman, whose body seemed to have suffered the same fate as the last two. Two more appeared in a dark alleyway in a ditch but found similarities with the other ones.

According to some files, the woman in the abandoned house is a peasant woman named Anne Bellapear, who Bonhart was scamming for money. The other two in the ditch are prostitutes, who were suffering from alcoholism and money problems. It has been stated that their names are Francine and Lee. Later on, they discovered that Mathieu is in the Gristal hospital but when the authorities arrived he was missing and left a dead soldier in his place. Any sightings of Bonhart have not been heard. Afterward, the authorities spread many wanted posters of him and hope for anyone with information on the murderer.
