I think if the background was anymore complicated it would deter the audience from what the artist wanted to be shown. It's absolutely incredible. I usually have a lot to say, but I don't know how else to comment but by the cliche. It's great.

Nice brush, the render is alright... seems as if you made it a bit hexagonal on some, it may be purpose but it seems odd to me.

In all seriousness you're getting better ever time you submit something new. I love the lighting in this, but you could have done a bit more brushing in the focus area. THen again you have more focus on the render this way. Only problem is... The render isn't all that amazing.
