so i have been rereading lioness rampant by tamora pierce lately and i've wanted to draw this scene ever since i first read it however many years ago. so i spent all day working on this.and yes, i am apparently thirteen years old again.
...this is from the scene right before thayet is introduced to the court and alanna gives jonathan the dominion jewel.

This is a great picture, except I didnt know it was Alanna at first (i have read the books) but her hair and jewel werent red. But still just ignore me picking at nit picky details, you did a great job.

This also one of my favorite scenes (and I've wanted to draw it, too). You do an excellent job of portraying Thayet's beauty! I'm always afraid to draw her cause she's so gosh darn gorgeous^^
