Description
The game that is shown on the first panel is called "DoDonpachi". From what I understand, its a series, so I don't know which one this one is, my apologies.When I first looked at Undertale's combat system, the term 'bullet hell' immediately came to my head. I'm not really a player of this kind of game, but I heard a lot about this genre. From what I know, DoDonpachi is one of the most extreme example among all of them. So I figure that for Frisk who was able to dodge all near death moments, pretty sure he won't have any problems with this game lol.

That's nothing, you should see what I could have done to Frisk if he or she was able to kill all the other monsters in the underground.
The interesting thing about, well at least Donpachi (DoDonpachi's predecessor) was that it was a deconstruction game like Undertale. Β As it turns out, your pilot becomes a one man army by destroying their own fleets.

CAVE and by extension entire Dodonpachi series love destroying Excuse Plots:
-Dodonpachi (sequel to Donpachi): end of first loop - Those mechanized aliens you were fighting? They're actually rogue fleet of Donpachi Squad (your organization); Colonel Longhener (your commander) is hell bent in creating a new world in his image. Seeing as you, the Pilot, has done its job, Colonel now wants to kill you, triggering the second loop. Ironically destruction of rogue fleet and assassins squad had solved all of mankinds problems such as overpopulation. Also Hibachi the Fire Bee is creation of said colonel.
- DDP DaiOuJou: Immediately after events of DDP the Donpachi Squad is disbanded and its weapons disabled. Few centuries after that event and absolute peace, the weapons awakened, setting in events this game.
In a rush two ships were build each able to house Elemental Doll.
Elemental Dolls are robots created by using live children's memories. Pilot can choose between: Shotia, Leniyan and EXY.
After Pilot defeats Hibachi (again!) EXY attached itself to master computer. There she learned of everything. Everything what lead to this point. She killed the pilot, while crying blood, and announcing she would "redo everything".

-DDP DaiFukkatsu:
EXY (now NEXY) rips a hole in timespace back to 2008 in order to destroy Donpachi's HQ. In doing so, she triggered these events in the first place. (Also HELLO HIBACHI WITH LAZERS)
-DDP SaiDaiOuJou (last one, as CAVE rebranded itself):
Hibachi now manifests in Hina The Element Doll. In the end of its only loop Pilot can fight Hibachi -Β the cheery Hina, or Inbachi - the ANGERY Hina.
After defeating her she notes that we, the humans, are the perfect lifeform (something that Longhener seeked).
