Advercityi are a species I originally came up with way back in the early 2000s. So, the species has a lot of sentimental value to me. With that being said, please don't make an Advercityus character.
They're not an open/semi-open/closed species, or whatever else, they're a personal species that I hold very dear to my heart, since they were one of the very first things I came up with.
I will never sell them, the rights to them, any Advercityus designs, etc. Please respect my wishes, thank you.

This is the sketch draft I made for Advercityi, to show what they look like fully. Using my Advercityus character 'Scar' to model the basic anatomy.
(Note: The way anthros work in my universe(s) may be different from other people, but that's just how it is for my stories/ocs/species.)

They are wolf-like egg-laying mammalian anthros with two large feathered wings and a tail that looks like a wing, as well. Advercityi have manes around their necks and heads that can be styled like hair, and tufts of fur on their elbows, down their arms, and around their wrists. They have paw-like hands with retractable claws and bird-like talons. (Imagine the talons of Harpy Eagle.) They also have cat-like pupils, with a nictating membrane and tapetum lucidum. They have a thin, fox-like snout, and the most recognizable part of their anatomy: A gemstone in their chest. This gemstone is a vital part of an Advercityus, and if it ever breaks, the Advercityus who owns it will die. Because of this, their gems are thankfully extremely durable. Advercityi can take their gems out of their chests; to polish them, hide them, or what have you. Whether the gem is within them at the time of not, if the gem is destroyed, the Advercityus will die. Their gems are also toxic to gem-eating creatures, so dragons and other such beings avoid targeting Advercityus gems, and can sometimes even be warded off with them. Advercityus gems are usually in a Marquise shape, but they can be other shapes, though other shapes are highly uncommon.

Advercityi have extremely tough bones, especially in their teeth. This is because Advercityi are Omnivores, but also 'Geovores'! (Meaning they eat minerals like rocks and gemstones.) Like their cousins, the dragons, Advercityi eat limestone and use it to help them fly and breathe fire, as well as eating gemstones to make their bones and gems harder and tougher. An Advercityus's teeth will fall out and regrow new teeth once a month, like sharks. This also happens with their claws, too. Like other geovores, they also have a bunch of teeth lining their throats, much like a sea-turtle. This is to help them grind up the minerals as they swallow them, which helps avoid mineral fragments being too large for their stomachs to handle. These teeth also fall out, but geovores rarely feel this happen, and the teeth usually just drop into their stomachs, where their materials are recycled. Furthermore, they share an electrocyte organ in their mouths that ignites the hydrogen that results from eating limestone. This organ is also their tongue, serving the same functions as a normal tongue while also being able to produce electricity.

Advercityi, like most Anthros, can shapeshift from their natural 'fully anthro' state, to a human form, feral form, satyr form (Human upper half with the back legs of their anthro form), and a taurian form (Human upper half with all four legs of their feral form). Like with other anthros, their feral and taurian forms lack genitalia, which are about the same as a human's (Except skin markings, which can appear on their genitalia as well.) though they are retractable in all three forms, unlike those of humans. (This lack of genitalia and reproductive organs in specific forms is a biological fail-safe in anthro anatomy, to avoid complications that would be associated with conceiving feral or taurian children, when egg-bound, an anthro is unable to change into these forms for that reason until they give birth/lay their egg(s), or unless the pregnancy is lost for whatever reason.) Like most species, the physically female Advercityus will carry the egg(s) males cannot carry eggs, it is physically impossible. When an Advercityus becomes egg bound, they will immediately crave gems and minerals, which will often lead to eating a lot of them. This is because those materials are used to create the Advercityus Pebble's gemstone. Advercityi aren't egg-bound for very long, only two months, after which, the proud parent will lay an egg.

Advercityus eggs are often the colour their chest gem will be, which tends to be random, with patterns resembling the markings of the resulting pebble. Advercityus eggs are much like snake eggs at first for ease of laying, as well as durability, since they're very rubbery, but harden over time until they're similar to normal eggs. The egg will hatch sometime after a period of seven months, wherein the baby's egg will be fully hardened, allowing the baby to crack it open. Baby advercityi are referred to as 'pups' or 'pebbles', though Advercityi often prefer the term 'pebbles'. They're born with their eyes closed, but are also born with teeth and the ability to eat solid food, so, unlike other egg-laying mammals, Advercityi do not nurse their young, and thus, do not have nipples, nor can they develop boobs. The first order of buisness for the new parent would be to give the pebble(s) gems, then to give them normal food and water. The first bits of gemstones and Limestone are important for their bone development and all, so giving them as much of those as possible before their first shed is quite important. After their first shed is when they'll open their eyes, and with the help of the mineral their parents provided them, they'll have the strength in bone and all nessisary to start moving around.

Advercityi are born with a 'gem hole' or 'gem holster'. This develops naturally within the two months they're in the parent's body, and works as a mold to shape the Advercityus' gemstone. This is why Advercityus gems tend to take the same shape, and why specific shapes like stars or circles are so rare. Advercityus gem holsters will remain the same shape and sctructure, being basically meat and muscle on the inside, not normal skin. The muscle keeps the gem in place and makes it nearly-impossible to remove the gem if the Advercityus doesn't want it to be removed. The gem being removed doesn't harm the Advercityus at all, but Advercityi don't tend to like keeping their gem out of their bodies for too long, as it could cause the muscles in their gem holster to dry out, or could lead to their gem getting lost. When an Advercityus dies, its gemstone will become monochrome in colour, and its common practice that the gemstone will be kept by other Advercityi, often to use as jewelery or other such things. Despite how morbid it might sound, it's actually seen as a way to keep the memory of the dead close by, even as they've moved on. Advercityus gems are also thought to be the source of their magic and the holder of an Advercityus' soul, thus why they turn monochrome and why babies without gemstones never come to life, even if the rest of the body is perfectly in tact.

An Advercityus' magic/soul aura and eyes are always the same colour as their gemstone, which is why their gem colours are often random rather than being inherited, as their colours are specifically linked to their soul. In the event of heterochromia or similar situations, the gem will sometimes take both colours, but will more often be one or the other. If an individual is good with wood work and enjoys it, they work in wood work, and are supported by the community rather than fending for themselves. Everyone works in whatever they like, and gives the spoils of their labor to their neighbors. Everyone works together, with no need for currency, and give support for all doing what they love. Of course, this is only generally, as some Advercityi prefer to join other societies and cultures, or just travel around on their own. Advercityus culture also tends to put importance on two things appearance-wise: fluffiness and shinyness. Specifically, fluffy manes and shiny gemstones, so it's not uncommon to see an Advercityus stopping to polish their gemstone. It's not that those who aren't fluffy or have shiny gemstones are looked down upon, rather, quite the opposite. Advercityi will often see those who aren't as fluffy or shiny as being in need of assistance or support, which can often manifest in Advercityi paying that individual more attention or aid subconsciously.

In anthro society and in the eyes of anthro society's laws, Advercity are classed as the following: Apex Predators, Mythicals, Mammals, and Feral-less.
-Apex is a classification given to anthros who are often avoided by hunters due to their ability and power. ('Hunting' is basically a type of legal murder in Furrhaven, I'll explain in more detail later.)
-Mythicals is a classification given to anthros of a specifically magic-based species. Other mythicals include Dragons, Mermaids, Unicorns, etc.
-Mammals are the classification given to mammalian anthros.
-Feral-less is a classification given to anthros who don't have a feral-species counterpart. There is no such thing as an actual feral Advercityus, just as there is no feral human. (Feral forms don't count for the classification.)

Advercityi, like any creature, can be born with certain defects. These include normal defects we're familiar with, but also include:
-Geoleia (Geo-lee-ah: A defect that always results in stillbirth. This happens when an Advercityus is born without a chest gem. This can happen because the gem 'holster' was never developed, or because them gem never formed.)
-GeoLath (Geo-la-th-oh-s: A defect that can be livable depending on circumstance, but can lead to issues later. This happens when an Advercityus' gem 'holster' develops in the wrong place, leading to their gem placement not being in the center of the chest.)
-Geomaira (Geo-meer-ah: A defect that is livable, but can lead to issues later. This happens when an Advercityus' develops two gems. This often results from chimerism.)

Extra info:
-Advercityi cannot create hybrids. Either they're an Advercityus, or they're the species of their partner. Though cross-breeding comes with risk, as non geovore species will never gain the cravings for gems, nor will most of them be able to eat them, thus leading to stillbirth if the child is an Advercityus. Because of this, many Advercityi tend not to have children with creatures who aren't naturally inclined to eat minerals.
-Advercityi are immune to electricity and poisoning. This is because of their body's natural electric abilities, and their gemstones being able to absorb the poisons they may injest. (Since their gem is already poisonous anyway.)
-Advercityi, like elves, do not age past a certain point. Around the age of twenty to twenty five, their bodies will stop aging and they will remain that age until the event they're killed.
-Calling an Advercityus a 'Rock-heart' is considered a slur.
-A group of Advercityi is called a 'Luck' of Advercityi.
-The subspecies of Avercityi are: Normal Advercityus, Light advercityus, Shadow advercityus, and Star Advercityus. I'll probably make other posts for the three subspecies at some point.
-Advercityi tend to vary in height and body shape, much like humans and other anthros. Usually, they vary between five to seven feet, or, 1.5 to 2.1 meters.
