Description
I can feel it within me
This urge to explore the forbidden places of a woman’s heart
A dark chasm, dotted with fire
Up or down, there is no end to the emptiness longing to be filled
I want to know this emptiness, for it is a part of me
Dipping, dripping, frightening but beautiful.

I descend the black crevasse, fingers trying to find a hold
The vastness is too much for me to take in
My fingers lose their grip
And while my heart beats with the excitement of exploration,
I feel myself slipping away …
The black rock gives way to my body, and I find myself sinking, sinking

I am covered in blackness
I can no longer see the fires burning, enticing me
Now I just find myself falling
Black dust engulfing me
Smothering yet comforting with warmth
I have found my home, my purpose
I have no will to leave this place.

I can no longer tell if I am falling,
Or just cradled in this soft, dark nothing
This is the center of the universe, deep inside me.
All things merge here
The end and the beginning.
