My cat is absolutely the most wonderful creature to walk the face of the planet. Her "Christian" name is "Smudges," but everyone just calls her "Pusscat." As T.S. Eliot might say, only she knows her TRUE name. She is so loving and absolutely gorgeous ... I was doing photos for something on eBay with a white backdrop, and the ham that she is, Pusscat ran over and interfered with our picture-taking. Like most cats she is photogenic no matter what she is doing, but this one truly turned out wonderfully, capturing her serenity and warmth along with her beauty. (Believe it or not my Pusscat is TWELVE years old! EGADS!) Thanks to my dear boyfriend James (he is also a member of deviantArt: ninetyfoursl2) for lending me his wondrous digital camera, a Canon Power Shot G2. Done as a Macro with no flash and a simple tungsten bare-bulb. The only tweaking in Photoshop was a minor adjustment to the Brigthness/Contrast (and of course border/copyright).

Edit April 10, 2005: Uploaded a slighty tweaked version of this pic, I fiddled with the cyan levels and lightened/brightened her eyes from the shadow a bit.
