Well, I can't claim to know all english expressions. After all I learnt english in a private school which means I was taught posh english. The slang I've learnt was through movies and when I came to the UK.

But quotes arent slang though. Maybe popular english quotes in Europe are totally different from the ones from America... Philippines being more of a America-following country

What I mean is that in a country that doesn't speak english you are taught formal english. You don't learn all the quotes etc.

No LOL! I assume the young people are familiar with english but I didn't assume you do. I was just making a point about how english is taught in european countries that are non-english speaking.

same here actually but i think more emphasis is given to english here compared to the West itself. The schools here are so anal about grammar and spelling and ive met a lot of americans who cant even spell commonly used words.

That's very normal actually. Ad keeps asking me when he's unsure about his grammar and spelling and my friends say I speak better english than the english Lol.

I think it's like that with english speaking countries mainly because they feel that they don't have to learn a language. When you learn another language from scratch you have to learn it properly. It has to be said though that in Greece everyone speaks proper Greek mainly because people care about not looking like uneducated morons lol

that's true... and native english speakers, be it in Europe and US, tend to make up new words every now and then! Their vocabularies are filled with slang terms.

Yes. Look it up in an online dictionary. It's shameful we end up adding such ridiculous words to languages.

I am already thinking of another pic. How about one where she has been overcome by chloroform, and is now sprawled out cold on the floor, with her staff lying next to her. Nearby, we see a bottle of chloroform and a small blue rag.
What do you think?
