Haha me too! I keep up with the Bleach manga. I couldn't stay away from the Zanpakuto filler arc in the anime though. It was just too awesome! @w@
But DBZ... I watched that as a kid so it's been part of my soul for a long time! Haha! xD

i hate fillers and i don't like action all that much so yeah never bothered myself with the anime (except for the first 100 ep)

Yeah, I hate filler too, but Kubo himself got involved with the Zanpakuto arc. He actually wanted to work it into the manga, but didn't have the time. It was really good! All the other fillers sucked ass though. Haha!
Aw~ It's really fun to reminisce about old series with friends! If you ever feel the need to get back into DBZ, they're remastering and condensing it into 100 episodes. They're calling the condensed version "Dragon Ball Kai". It even has a brand new opening and ending sequence! It's so shiny! *w*

Hmm let's see... episodes 230-255. There's a bit more with the zanpakuto after that, but it's not very good. Their story's over by ep 255.
Dragon Ball Kai isn't a 'remake'. They just fixed the colors and re-did the audio so it looks and sounds better with today's technology. :3 And it's shorter because they cut out a TON of filler. The only thing that's brand new are the openings and endings. I understand not wanting to go back and watch it though. 100 episodes is still a lot.
