I like the header, I see what your trying to achieve although the tagline is a bit hard to read, might be due to the font colour as it blends a bit too much with the background.
The slider is a nice touch, how do you plan to action the transitions? Only reason why I ask is that the pager seems to be in the middle of the slide, will the text change too?

Might be worth trying it with no rounded corners?.. But then again that's just my personal opinion.
Also I like the footer, nice and clean, good use of bold fonts to achieve emphasis.

Hello man,
I like the colors but I think the elements are too close to each other.
For example, there isn't enough space around the carousel area (text and visual). Your paragraphs' line-height isn't big enough. [It's just my personal opinion]

Contrary to that, the baseline "My personal portfolio & blog" seems to be floating on air. Maybe the font isn't strong enough ?

But, it's a good start. With added white space, this design should rocks !

Just 3 hours to make this, waho.. it's very fast.

The elephant icon is CC released, therefore cannot be used in anyways to promote, or sell a commercial product ( just warning you friend as I mean no rudeness )

The layout looks great but honest you need to remove the icon, or make one yourself

Nice design, I will recommend you to give credits to the elephant icon you used in the header, else the designer of icon (if sees) can report the post and might result in hard time for you
