Status Report: It’s been eleven days since The Incident, and repairs are going well. I’ve been sleeping in the pod, which The Child disapproves of. She’s like my mother, always telling me what to do. I guess calling her my Owner would be more appropriate, as I’ve given up trying to tell her I’m not a Living Doll.

The only hiccup in my repairs came last night, when The Father put me away in the toy chest. The Child wasn’t aware, and was apparently inconsolable. Oddly, I had been set on a rather large stuffed dog, and under the glow in the dark light of star stickers, I had the best sleep I’ve had in ages. That is, until I was found and pulled out of the toy chest. Such is the life of a Doll, Living or not, being pulled to and fro.

I had better be getting back to my repairs and system checks. It may just be a couple more days before I can get back to normal.
