"Never fall in love if there is no one below to catch you..."-Anonymous
Fairy tales do not exist. There isn't a climax, where everything settles down afterwards. But it feels like it does. And when you let your guard down, there's a plot twist. You didn't kill that dragon that captured your precious princess. You didn't defeat an army of one-hundred soldiers. You thought you could take on giants, that's what went wrong. You know what giants are? Giants are huge, powerful, and practically immortal grotesque monsters. They don't get beaten by one man. It doesn't matter how great a man you are, the giants will just defeat you in one blow. And what's worse is that you actually went to slay one. Giants are called giants for a clear reason. Getting back on your feet is harder than falling down. That dragon you thought you defeated, it's still alive. You can't kill something that can't die. That army you fought, be real. One-hundred against one is impossible. Life isn't a fairy tale. It rises to a climax then goes higher to another climax even higher. It'll keep on going like that until the very end, where you think it settles down. The plot will fall all the way down to a level lower than the beginning. If you think you're invincible, you're not. I guarantee it. You don't slay the beast. You don't beat the odds.
You don't get the girl...
You don't save the princess in her tower. Her beautiful face, only matched with her soft and gentle voice. You think that saving her would change your life. Well it did. But when you look back on it, she was trapped in a literal tower while you were trapped in a mental tower that you created in your mind. You save her life, but you want her to save yours. You can't save yourself. She can't help you. You don't ride into the sunset with her. Instead, you go into the barracks by yourself. You fellow soldiers desert you. Congratulations, you led your comrades against an army of a thousand. You led them to their deaths. The rest are either missing or in hiding. When you think you're safe, you hear a knock on the door. You open the door and see the opposing army. They don't have any scratches from the last battle, just blood of your teammates. You're surrounded by the army, what will you do. Will you surrender, or will you take out your sword in an attempt to defeat them all? The obvious and smart decision is to surrender. The honorable yet idiotic decision is to fight back. You choose the honorable way. As you take out your sword, you get stabbed in the chest. Now you should stop and lay in peace, but no, you're way to prideful. You finally take out your sword out of it's scabbard, but you're too weak to raise your sword. You fall to the ground and look up. The leader of the army is there. It's the princess. Turns out she is from the other side. Without hesitation or mercy, she kicks you to the ground. You smile madly. You think that it's going to be alright. You saved her life, she'd surely take mercy. But they close the door and then burn down your kingdom. You bleed to death watching your barracks, the only safe place in your life, getting burned down. But when you die, you enter your mind. But instead of finding peace, you find yourself in a secluded room. In a tower. But this time there is no one there to save you. Congratulations! You are at the end of your story. But as this is just as a fairy tale. There is always an end to everything. All happiness must end, but when does it start?
Happily ever after...
