I spend a lot of time on this, and learned heaps.

I'm still not happy with it; something about it just doesn't pop. I reasonably happy with the cobblestone floor, and the general low contrast colouring. My little rat looks pretty cool, if a little simple. I'm also pleasently surprised by how the cobweb turned out.

I might come back to it at a later date, because I really love the idea, and I actually imagened it forming just one piece of a larger RPG style library room.

My goal for this was to go bigger than what I was used to, so it's ~256x256px, and to try to really add some detail. In the end I learned how much extra time is involved larger images. Also it went through a lot of iterations and tinkering.

There's also some stuff that really just isn't actually finished.

- the spiderweb is attached the side of the image, instead of the side of an actual fully formed bookcase
- the details in the spines of each book still just don't seem quite right in some places - there's not enough consistency so it looks too busy? I dunno.
- it just still just looks kind of, bare (ironically considering the point I made just above)
