Technology & Combat Characteristics
As implied by its name, the Cosmograsper is a space combat-use version of the FX-550 Skygrasper. Designed with the potential to replace the TS-MA2 Moebius as the Alliance's main space combat machine, the Cosmograpser's weaponry is almost identical to the Skygrasper's except it carries two gatling guns instead of having weapon bays. The Cosmograsper also retains the ability to mount Striker Packs for enhanced combat capabilities, and to support the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and the Dagger series mobile suits in battles. While most of the Striker Packs used by the Cosmograsper are the same as the one used on the Skygrasper, the space fighter can use a new model of the Aile Striker pack. Besides these features, the Cosmograsper also uses rocket thrusters instead of the jet engines of the Skygrasper and the glass canopy over the cockpit is replaced by a completely enclosed metal cover.
