Description
One of the challenges in working with vector programs is producing smoothly blended surfaces. There are a number of techniques which can achieve these effects, but they are little known.
Here is an experiment of mine using Inkscape with a number of tools. Gradient blends, gradient transparencies, flat transparencie, and the 'Blur Edges' effect.

If anyone is interested I will make the .svg file available for people to tear apart. I am also interested in getting a petition together to allow direct use of .svg files on devart.
