I've drawn Omega and Aurora being a genuine couple before, but this is the first one I've done of them sharing a kiss, in fact this is the first kiss scene I've drawn since high school, so I'm glad to see that I was able to pull it off, plus it's good practice.
The story of how their relationship started isn't really all that complicated. When Aurora finally joined the Sentinel Corps, she felt she could contribute more to the team than just blasting foes with aura blasts, by using her knowledge in emotional therapy to offer counseling for any teammates that needed it. After all, when you're fighting dangerous criminals and trying to balance a double life, it can be very stressful, and it helps to have someone to talk to. Since then, Aurora has proven instrumental in holding the team together in tough times. She's done weekly sessions with Apex to manage his anger issues, as well as helped Atomic Girl overcome her traumatic experience with Catalyst. When it came to Omega however, things got a little more interesting. Aurora saw that Omega was going through several issues in his life, a rough divorce, a custody battle to be with his only son, and being the leader of the Sentinel Corps, not to mention suffering a mild case of PTSD due to his time in the Marines. However, during their sessions, Omega was keen enough to notice that Aurora had gone through traumatic experiences in her life, and was afraid to express her emotions. As such, not only did she help him manage his own problems, but he helped her overcome her fear and allow her to open up, resulting in the two of them become closer and closer, until finally they started dating.
I personally like these two together, because they click in so many ways. They both give the other strength, both emotionally, and literally. Aurora's Aura Effect is essentially pure energy that her body generates. Omega can than absorb that energy and increase his own power. While on the other hand, Aurora's strong feelings towards Omega, and her desire to protect him, increases the power of the Aura Effect, making their powers have a sort of symbiotic relationship. Plus, they just flat out look cute together.
