The illustration I did prior to painting the stag. When I decided to paint the stag the only thing I really kept was the detail on the stag itself because I felt like it was the more important focus of the painting, and if I had continued to detail and refine the trees they might pull away from it. Plus I rather like it simple.. Seems something from a dream.This however is much more detailed (obviously) because initially I was going to submit it just as such and not as the painting. Anywho, enjoy.

cool! you're right, the trees kinna pulled away from it, but this is cool too. XD you're freaking good at drawing it O_o
