Adopted Brief - Geyser, the big girl

An adoptable from Jon Freeman, this character was a chance to get another super heroine. This case one that is quite definitely water-based just going by the code-name. Not a lot of other details besides being a 'big girl' so took some brainstorming on how to fit her into things exactly. Still up in the air if she might be someone who looks like that always or does some alter ego matter too. Let's look over some of the ideas.

Β
  • Just a Big Girl - In this concept, what you see is what you get. Geyser in our out of costume is just that big and large. She would be an example of a professional and active superhero. Her names might be dropped at times by the public and might even see her sponsor some things. Because she doesn't look that different, she might have a hard time when trying to enjoy some private times. Can definitely mentor characters like Issa or show up to stop trouble makers like Brickhouse.
  • Water Empowers Me - Making her more like the other alter ego sorts, Geyser only looks that big and heroic when she has absorb a sufficient amount of water. This might be something intentionally done or she might do it subconsciously. It does make her weak to anything that could sap or deprive her of water. But also make for some accidental burst out when she just gets too wet. Makes her sort of opposite to Naomi and Hot Girl in a way there too.
  • Part-Time Hero - This case takes a bit of a twist where Geyser enjoys her looks and position, but finds it difficult to maintain it. Perhaps the method she uses is difficult to replicate and/or the duration is limited. So despite how much she enjoys her time, she is always scrambling about afterwards to find a way to get ack to her good times. Might make her normal side rather comical and awkward depending on how she handles herself much less try to work things out.

It would makes sense to be a combination of all 3

Geyser is a big girl, but she can strengthen herself with water, increasing her muscle mass. Although being able to use water-based blasts would also count toward the name sake. So maybe she can store extra water within herself as extra muscle mass and than can shoot out massive blasts of water; although this would reduce her muscle mass.

Makes it easier for having a secret identity. Especially since being a superhero doesn't pay the bills on a regular basis. Maybe she works on retainer for the police and is called in when things become too much for them to handle. I would think being a gym instructor or something fitness related as a day job would give her a steady source of income and give her the time to work on her natural muscle.Β

The other person that like to see all three together. Even if the last one makes thing trickier for her to use the power at times.

Well, I got a strange super hero registration and licensing system going on in the backdrop too. So some don't bother as much with their civilian identity and just ride off a lot of on their moniker.

I just don't see being a Super hero as a type of job that would apply a steady income. Especially when you consider government funding and over site. Financially it would make sense to have a super hero on as a contractor or on retainer. Property damage, threats of potential lawsuits due to civilian harm and deaths and benefits would have to be considered. Such things would be subtracted from there income, which wouldn't leave much left over.

It would make sense that additional sources of income might be required. Some would take civilian jobs with their civilian identity, othersΒ  would market their super hero identity and appear in many acting rolls to market consumer products.Β

Put in the right paperwork and registration. They go sponsorship and endorsements matters too. Not to mention merchandising too.

Not every superhero can get it though, there are only so many available to would be super heroes. Of course that also depends on the amount of people who can be super heroes in a population, the amount of people who decide to become vigilantes, and the amount of people who go super villain.Β

It really depends on the amount of work that exists for super heroes after all. The usual formula is that their are more villains than super heroes, with vigilantes in a grey area.Β

You really need to balance the competence of police and incarceration facilities as well.Β

I don't envy you on the amount of work it takes for good world building.Β

I would like to see a combination of all three ideas to be honest, but a combo of ideas two and three would probably be the bestΒ
