In the darkness of my past, I cradled,
Lost and seeking solace in the night.
Through the void, I wandered, led astray,
Until shadows became my only sight.
My heart, a fragile thing to trade,
For scraps of love to keep me whole.
Affection fleeting, a charade,
A flimsy game that took its toll.
I buried fear and confusion deep within,
Terrified of what they might unleash on me.
But hope still burned, a flame within,
A light that never ceased to be.
A yearning, a search for something more,
A trembling soul with a fragile heart.
Through life’s trials, I sought to explore,
And never ceased to make a start.
I wondered if the veil would lift,
Revealing love’s beauty beyond my grasp.
And then you came, a serendipitous gift,
A friendship forged to last.
Now we stand on the edge of time,
With the Morning Star as our guide.
My soul laid bare, and I dare to shine,
In a bond that will never subside.
