Pencil works can be quite detailed as I've seen. I once saw a picture of I think it was some mushrooms that looked like it had been done in something completely different than pencil due to the extremely fine detail and shading. I think the kind of paper for that sort of work needs to be really smooth though.

In my life i have seen alot of art like this, at first i didn't expect much of it but when i clicked it i saw hiw detailed and amazing this is. All the details like the horns and the ears are great and outthought and i have to say i am happy i viewed it.
