Serenity was surprised. She had expected Anubis to dislike fruits and vegetablesyet he had prepared coffee and buttered toast for her, even provided apples and strawberries.
"Here", he said while offering Serenity a single strawberry.
"Taste some of these - I got them at the market this morning."
The elf hesitated at first but the tiny fruit smelled too good to not accept it.
And it tasted as sweet as it smelled.
