Based on a joke one of my IRL friends made when we watched Onward.
So this is what happened to Wilden's other half in the Soul Realm. He and Moonwind were watching over the Lightfoot Brothers performing the visitation spell to make sure it was going correctly. But since it went wrong...Wilden's soul was basically a floating torso.
