Description June 2013.  Mt. Tabor Reservoir.

Mt. Tabor has always been one of my favorite places in Portland - I have often made it a destination for my walks/exercise, and currently live about ten blocks away from it, wanting to be near it again after living pretty far away from it for a few residences past.  When I took these pictures, there was a big hullabaloo about how the open-air reservoirs were finally to be closed, to comply with federal regulations regarding cities' water supplies (even there there's pretty much no issue with our water other than it doesn't comply with arbitrary regulations made at a federal level).  At this time there were protests about closing these reservoirs, which are a centerpoint of Mt. Tabor Park.  At the time I took these, I thought that the reservoirs might end up drained sooner than later, and left as bare concrete, but I was unaware it wasn't something that was going to go into effect for quite some time.  Regardless, the idea that it might have been the last time to shoot the park with the full reservoirs motivated me to go on a little photo adventure up Mt. Tabor at sunset.
