Description
Basel is, in fact, the result of cultural and linguistic encounters in Europe. With its location on the border between France, Germany and Switzerland, the third largest city of the Swiss is attractive in its own way. Another peculiarity: it is divided in two by the Rhine. In the old city center, the area called Grossbasel, you can visit the Town Hall, a 15th century monument, or the Gothic Cathedral (Basler Münster), from the height of which the panorama over the Rhine and the city makes you remember the readings from the years of high school, by Lorelei and German romanticism.
