It's amazing to me how many 'pristine' and 'perfect' shots people will post of animals and nature here in DA, what most people don't see, or post, or even realize, that nature isn't always pristine and perfect.

These are two ducks that took up the local residence by St. John's Pond. The one on the left is pretty beat up, it's foot is badly torn, and though you can't see it from this angle, it's neck had a pretty good sized gash in it. The two ducks, mates, never leave each other's side, and see to it to protect each other.

Nature, like life, is imperfect, and rightly so.
