This... I love this. Johnny finds Lenore, all beat up and cut, and saves her.

The story behind the picture is that Johnny is out walking, or something, and finds a group of men beating up something smallish.
Not one to let people beat up small things -as well, they're actively making fun of the smallish thing- he scares them off, and finds young Lenore. His empathy stirred, he takes her home.

Also, if you look, Ragamuffin is looking up at Lenore. He's worried about her.
