The Acolyte of Negeé from the city state of Erehel-Sinu hated serving under the command of males: and due the political alliances of her city with the demons, now her unit was under the commnand of a male.

A male demon, but a demon nonetheless.

She didn't liked as well serving non-drow, because they always looked down on drows: not only in a figurative way, but as well in a literal one.

She sighed, before marching toward the demon.

"Excuse me sir... was I called for service?"

The demon -an incubus- stared at her a long moment. "Yes, you will do nicely..."

Being rather uninspired lately, saw in the favorites of the favorites of a friend a modified image from an Anime which I ignore and I feel like doing something based on it. : U

XD

I don't really know thought if they are really that pigmy sized thought Larqven, sometimes I think I may have done before drows maybe too small!!

They are still to be small, but often when I read as a description of drows and ozcuras as pigmy-sized, I sort of think they lose credibility as a menace! XD

It IS probably my fault, for using the term 'pygmy size' when they are probably a bit taller than that.  I'll quit using it, as you don't like it.  I sort of mean to say "Tall-Pygmy sized". which makes SOME sense, but is a rather an oxymoron of a statement.  Plus, elves are thought of as lightweights as well, even apart from their heights.  So, while not a completely accurate statement, I judged it reasonably close enough, in weight and frame, if not height.

There IS your list of elf race heights -- the tallest of elves averaging more than humans, with the heights ranging down towards pygmy size as in the Dryads, the shortest of the six groups of elves.  But, I don't put great stock in the list because it came with caveats such saying what elves would be with modern nutrition, and also, the list of elf ranges doesn't seem to match the pictures very well.  Elves usually are correct in which race is taller to another, but the differences are usually exaggerated it would seem.

The Drow Trio have been such a factor.  They are average sized drow women, yet, they are quite tiny compared to Belad Bonceduil!  He's an aging man, they are adult women, yet are almost like children to him.  Yet, Belad himself is known as "Akbar the Small" for being a short and slight supposed human.  Not a--big--issue, as Kanov-humans like Captain Omar might be both tall as humans, and bulky like Kanovs.  Still, the very name suggests that Belad's human identity is thought of as small or lightweight.  How much more tiny would be the Drow Trio?

Or Maylara and Neroe in Zannas, Neroe is a Mountain Elf (who is actually something less than average in height and size), and Maylara is a Drow (who is something a bit more than average for a Drow), but the two of them together are--well, taller than Pygmy height to a human woman standing close by them, but are certainly about 'young teen size'.

Ozcuras are fairly variable in size and body type.  Some would be quite strong, those with orc cross breeding to be sure.  But the seemingly typical 'cute' elfin scaled ones are small.

As warriors?  Well, two main observations I'll make.

1. Pygmy tribesmen warriors won't terrify many soldiers, but if those soldiers were expected to fight at a parity of equipment, the pygmies would be no pushovers.  They can make for very lethal hunters, and have a nerve that borders on fearlessness.  I remember a story where Pygmy warriors were placed in the Roman Colossium vs a herd of elephants.  A joke, you see, little vs, large.  The result was no contest--the pygmies slaughtered the poor elephants!  The elephants being so pitiful in their cries that the Roman public was moved to mercy for the few survivors in a rare move of charity--especially towards animals.

Pygmies have the arms and skill to throw or jab sharp objects into bodies, so small adversaries should never be taken as being weak when they have weapons in hand.

2. Well, given their common performance--one well might question their credibility?   Negeemi Drow are capable fighters, it is true.  (Roothar aside) Though I imagine that they excel and jumping up and down, and making quick jabs and slashes with very fine and sharp weapons as opposed to grunting and hefting big cleavers.  At least in their ceremonial gear.  In battle gear?  The line gets very important for them to stand up to large attacks.  Fortunately, they have decent reach relative to their weight.  Perhaps it is no wonder that their standard weapon is the spear?  They need it to jab into their dwarven foes!  A drow formation sure isn't going to be pushing a similar group of dwarves around!

Ozcuras?  They pretty much do was well as one would expect poorly trained, low armed and no armored fighters to do.  But that's why they are best used as fast attack auxiliary or flanking infantry, or scouts or raiders.  They fill the role of a horde of screaming adversaries that are small, but deadly to non combatant folks, or supply wagons or small groups of soldiers.  Like goblins--but a lot better looking.
