Description
Meet Forest Shadow, my main Pony OC. He hails from the time just before Luna first rose as Nightmare Moon against Celestia. He's a Ranger tasked with patrolling the unhinhabited areas of Equestria between towns, finding and identifying any remaining threats left behind by Discord when the Royal Sisters banished him (Manticores, Chimeras, Hydras, and other such unnatural beasties.) To aid in this, because so many more creatures prowl the night, he has sworn himself to Luna's service and has received her blessing. Her blessing helps a pony live in the night by making them prone to nocturnal activity, darkens their overall coloration to blend in, and gives cat's eyes.

Forest's special talent is centered around intuitively knowing and being able to survive in the savage forest that will eventually become Everfree. He's quite accomplished at near-instant short range teleportation, but he's quite weak in nearly every other form of magic, including telekinesis. He can also conjure pegasus wings and fly with them. Now before you go complaining about god-modding, he's actually doing aura manipulation on himself to force his unicorn aspect to adopt the aura of a childhood pegasus friend, though he has no idea that is actually what he's doing. Forcing his aura into the shape of a pegasus' can't be used in conjunction with anything other magic (he's sort of turning himself into a non-horned pegasus after all!), and the effort bleeds him dry of magic in a matter of minutes.
