So, I looked 'round dA and noticed that there was no base for this catchy-arse song. So I made a base instead. xD
Aha, I think some things are a little oddly proportioned in here, but if it is, I'll fix it later. -w-
Please note that that text wasn't originally there. I put it there cus I didn't wanna trace the other text, and this looks pretty good anyways~
I don't own any of the Vocaloids, Neru or any of Owata-P's songs. Just putting that up here in case some kind of copy-right thing comes looking 'round here. I get next to nothing out of making this, aside from a sore hand, anyways. xD

Hm... Well, it isn't bad, like I said. It could use some polish (what deviation couldn't?), but hey. A nice thing to do with this would be to do what I like to refer to as Layer Shading.
What you do is basically take a darker colour of whatever you're shading, and of course do what you believe is appropriate in terms of shading (you have to keep anatomy in mind, of course). Then do this again, although with thinner lines. You can use either a lighter or darker shade of the colour to do this style, it depends on where your light source is.
Since Paint is not my major anymore (SAI would be), here's a nice tutorial for ya if you want some tips: [link] (that was the kind of shading I referred to, tho I only skimmed the descrip)
You still have lots of room for improvement (doesn't everyone lol?), so keep at it, hey? Wish ya luck~ :3

But I know laziness very well myself, so the motivation to do such things may be hard to find at times.
It's why I always try and envision the end result. It pumps me up and makes me wanna finish my works sooner~
It also makes my arms sore, since I tend to finish a pic all at once. xD

Ah sorry, it was done on SAI...
What I generally recommend is just painting over it or retracing the lineart so that way you can edit that however much you desire. It's what I do for most works (although, I have layers to work with...), so perhaps it'll work for you?
Either way, aren't a good deal of bases not Paint safe? ._.

I mean, with the BGs and such, you wouldn't be able to flood everything but the lineart anyways, right?

Yeah. Took a screenshot of the text in the first bit of the vid, traced it the best I could, then resized the lineart I got to fit the pic.
This took me a good while, like I said. xD
Yeah, you should see the Touhou version of that video. Even cuter! xD
