I did a quick sketch, 5-8 minutes, of this chuckwagon at a local museum. Sketches like this one have become invaluable to me for painting ref. Photos will often show to dark of shadows in important areas like under the wagon along the tongue and axle but a sketch, even a crude one like this, can give enough detail to paint a sound, accurate, and acceptable image.
