My attempt in making a biography

Gambit Vladimir Reverenth, is the youngest, adopted son of Atral Dearan, brother to Yami Enigma, Dagger Dearan, and Crimson Black. He, along with his older brother, Dagger, are very well verse in the field of magic and arcane, specifically, reality and shadow magic. He has yet to learn dimensional travel, and is currently trap in a dimension, after accidentally falling off a cliff on his father’s island before being swept off to sea to a random dimension. He’s also the only son, that has a middle name.

Gambit has pale skin, piercing red and purple eyes (A consequences of Atral combining a piece of himself to revive Gambit), and ash colored hair that faded to a darker shade. He always wore a gray, sleeveless hood, with black shirt underneath, black pants, and gray and red shoes. He would sometimes wear a brown satchel, that Atral said belong to his mother. He stood at a height of 6’5 ft or more, and is the second tallest among the brothers (much to the annoyance of Yami and Dagger). He also has retractable claws, and unnaturally sharp teeth.

Gambit was born to an unknown woman, who tragically ended her life by throwing herself off to sea, after learning that she was pregnant. Her dog companion, tried to save her, but was inevitably swept off to sea, and was attacked by a shark during their time at sea until they were washed ashore on Atral’s, island. Atral, upon finding lifeless body of the woman and her dog companion, sense that the baby, miraculously, survive the ordeal, took a small piece of the dog’s life energy and his essence, and used it to revive the baby. After reviving the baby, Atral took it and brought it back to his home, where three young children were waiting for him then he introduced them to their new baby brother he named, Gambit. Atral, along with his oldest sons, Yami and Dagger, buried the body of the woman and her friend, somewhere on the island, where Gambit, would visit every now and then, as his place of comfort, and when he just wanted to feel closer to his mother. Gambit, would often be seen reading books near where his mother’s grave is.

During Gambit’s life on the island, he along with his older brother, Yami, would play pranks and mischief on their brothers, Atral would often find the duo being chase by Dagger and Crimson, who would either be covered in feathers, drench in water, or covered in cake or pie. Gambit would be covered in bruises from his recklessness, climbing trees and cliffs, and always covered in scars and bandages in his younger days.

Gambit grew a fascination with magic and the arcane, and would read fantasy books, because of it. Dagger, before Gambit, was the only sibling well verse in the arts of magic, and who actually study it, while Yami and Crimson only knew the basics, taught by Atral, and were more interested on other subjects. Dagger taught Gambit about magic, and through Dagger he became proficient in the use of magic, and would often spar with Dagger to see his progress. After learning from Dagger, he would then ask his father to teach him more complicated magic. After completing his training, he was then given his own weapon, a long, wooded staff with a hook shape blade, that could turn into any weapon that Gambit wills it to. Gambit named his weapon “The Warden”.

Later when he becomes a bit older, his brothers would then, reluctantly, leave the island at the request of their father, who didn’t want them to spend their lives stuck in his island with him when they can have a better life out there. They left, with the promise of finding a way to free their father from his curse, leaving Atral and Gambit behind, the latter wanting to join his brothers but understand that he was still too young to leave.

Gambit and his brothers, with the teachings of Atral, have heighten senses, allowing them to detect anyone and anything in the area, even foresee and predict their movements. They can even understand a person or a subject just by seeing, hearing, or just the mention of the subject, and they will know and understand them instantly. They can also know when someone is lying or telling the truth, kind of like a built in, lie detector.

Gambit, being trained by Dagger and Atral, is a very powerful magic user, second only to Dagger, and is well verse in shadow and reality magic, and more. Like his brothers, he is very well verse in the art of stealth, to the point that their footsteps are as silent as the dead, and their presence undetectable. Proficient in any kinds of combat, courtesy of Atral. He is more bloodthirsty and brutal when fighting, and is very extreme and bit sadistic when it comes to eliminating enemies. He and Yami are the only ones who could break the sound barrier. He is also very good in traversing through dense foliage and forested area, second only to Crimson. Like his family, he is proficient in wielding any scythe or sickle, type weapons, although they can all use other weapons, scythe and sickles are just their preferred kind, this combined with their preference in clothing earned them the title of “The Reaper Family”.

Due to having a piece of Atral’s essence inside him, Gambit is much stronger, physically, than his brothers and more durable, and has access to Atral’s abilities, but only a small amount. Whenever he’s using magic, his left eye and scars would glow a bright purple hue, just like his father. He also has an unknown amount of potential and growth.

Gambit got his name when Atral was reviving him as an infant. Atral was hesitant since he had never revived anyone before, and feared that he might end up killing the infant, but he decided to take the risk, or a gamble, thus giving the baby the name, Gambit.

Gambit’s last name, Reverenth, was given by Atral, due to not knowing what his mother’s last name since she was dead, and gave him the name, for no reason, other than it was the feeling Atral felt when Gambit’s mother’s dog companion, despite being injured, and barely clinging to life, was still willing to protect her owner, even when she was near the brink of death. Reverent; a feeling or showing a deep and solemn respect.

Gambit’s middle name, Vladimir, was, not given by Atral but by Dagger, and was at first a nickname. Dagger saw a great potential in him when he was teaching him, and started calling him Vladimir, since the name means “of great power”, until Gambit wanted it to be apart of him, thus making it his middle name. Vladimir means: “of great power”, “Ruler of the world, and “Bright and famous”.
