Points to OT
The art style for Havensake's Fall 111 season was Stained Glass, so how could I resist? Naturally I had to use Sleet for this one as well, their future paladin vibes fit too perfectly.
The scene is autumnal, with a tree losing its leaves as they pile on the ground, and rain falling in the 'background.' Sleet sits among the leaves with a sword before them. There is water in the 'foreground' - the bank of a stream or small river. The sky is golden from a setting sun. The window itself is set into a wall of limestone brick, including the archway framing the window.
Did this 90% in traditional media, with the remaining 10% digital work being cropping, aligning, adding a copy of the lines over the top, and adding the border. (The backlit version also had an extra glow layer and a low-opacity copy of the image on top).
Materials: marker paper (since I originally was going to use markers, rip), pencil for sketching, ballpoint pen for the base lines, watercolour paint and prismacolor pencils for the colour, india ink for the final lines. Also used masking fluid while painting to protect the cames.
