Description
Anna awoke, a bit starlted to see Kratos standing by her bed."What, what are you doing here?" she whispered.
"You must have been having one hell of a nightmare," kratos said simply.
"Ah, I suppose so. Sorry if i woke you."
"No, it's okay. I couldn't sleep anyway,"
"Oh, I see."
Anna ran a hand through her dark red hair. Her hands felt clamy and won't stop shaking.
"i don't think I'll be able to go to sleep now," she said.
"You want to talk about it? I hear it helps to talk about nightmares,"Kratos asked.
"No, I can't really remember it now anyway,"
Kratos looked at her a moment longer. He nodded then left the room.
"He was trying to see if I was lying,"Anna thought to herself.
She got out of bed and walked over to the window.
"Who was that? Or was I just dreaming?"
Anna could see in her mind the blurry outline of a man, his dark brown eyes looking at her. They looked deep in thought.
"Maybe, it was just a dream. I really haven't been able to sleep much since these damn dreams I keep having."
Raine looked at Anna with concern as she walked out of the inn.
"Anna, are you okay? You look a bit pale." Raine asked.
"Huh? Oh yeah I didnt get much sleep last night,"
"You stayed up late again?"Genis asked.
"Ah, well, not voluntarly that is,"
"What do you mean?" Raine asked.
"I had a nightmare last night,"
"Are you okay?" Genis repeated the question.
"Yeah, fine just a little tired. We should get going,"
Anna walked briskly out of the village, with the others following behind.
"Are we almost there?"Anna asked.
"For the final time, almost,"Raine answered.
Anna groaned, and Raine had to use all her self-control to keep herself from slapping the younger woman.
"Anna, is there something of importance you need at Palmacoasta?" Kratos asked her.
"No, not really. I'm just tired is all. And my feet hurt."
"Anna, you're just as bad as your father was,"Genis said.
"Say what you will, I really don't care."
Anna sighed and looked around. The party was only half way to the rebuilt Palmacoasta.
"Anna seems a bit uneasy," Genis said as he caught pace with his sister.
"Yes, and I don't think she's been getting much sleep either, although she says she's fine. We must keep an eye on her," Raine said.
"Yes, Anna's health is the most important hing at the moment,"Kratos added.
"Of course he would be worried, she's his granddaughter after all."Raine thought.
Anna looked at the three walking upahead of her.
"Why did they start walking faster?"Anna thought.
Her vision became a bit blurry, then,
"I will speak with her tonight----"
Kratos, Raine and Genis heard a soft thump.
Kratos looked back,"Anna!"
Anna had collasped.
"She's burning up, we must left her rest here for awhile,"Raine said.
Anna still had a high fever and it looked as though she was having trouble breathing.
"What's wrong with her Raine?"Genis looked nervously at his sister.
"I don't know,"Raine said,"There isn't any sign of an sickness that I know of, Kratos?"
Kratos slowly shook his head, his eyes locked on Anna's face.
"I believe i can help,"
They turn to see a man in a black cloak standing behind them.
"I am Meko, please, I think I can help your friend,"Meko said.
"It looks like we really don't have any choice,"Kratos said slowly, but he kept his eyes on Meko with a dangerous glare.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt her,"
Meko walked over to Anna. He gently placed his hand on her forehead, and muttered a few word under his breathe. The color in Anna's face came back and she seemed to relax.
"There, now all she needs is some rest,"
