She opens her eyes To the dull pain that was her lifeLife...such a strange concept
It used to be something she cherished
She used to glow with an inner joy
But all that was gone now
Washed away with the tears
Swept up in the tide she had cried
All around her lay the shattered pieces
Of a life she had lost
Blood flowed from her eyes
And clung to the blade of her sword
She knelt in front of a mirrored lake
And stared at her own reflection
There a woman stood
A person she could no longer recognize
Yet they were one and the same
Why did her heart still ache
When it could no longer beat
They say time heals all wounds
Well, they were wrong
Some wounds turn to scars
That will be carried all your life...
