This deviation is participating in the "Skin" Contest Visit *bunkmate4 's journal for more information.This is my boyfriend Jason... He posed so I could take a pic just for this contest... I know I probably won't win but it's worth the chance, right?

if you save the file as a png file then change it in say photo shop , you wont have the decaying quality affects that you get from jpg files.

he's cute, you're a lucky man... now to the critique...
i am guessing that the edges are "shaky" because you took this with a digital camera, which saved it as a jpeg when taken, and then you added your signature to the bottom, and resaved it as another jpeg; thus, lowering the quality of the picture. that's easily remedied. however, the lighting from below needs to be more evenly spaced in the picture, so that he doesn't have one little bump of shadow above his head. a more dramatic lighting could be acheived from directly above (accentuate his frame) or two sources from each side (same effect as this shot, but no shadow at all).
